Birds and Bees

He turns away from me with that indifferent expression he always seems to have. It makes him seem so careless, and well, he is –most times. He rummages through the drawers for a few seconds, digging his hand under a pile of black shirts that I’m sure must belong to him. Then he stops. He feels around the bottom of the drawer for a bit.

I’ve already come to the conclusion that he wasn’t searching for a spare shirt, considering the pile of scattered shirts now formed to the left of the drawer.

Then I hear a crinkle which almost immediately gets me thinking of a some sort of candy. He pulls his hand out of the drawer, holding this… thing –whatever it is- and walks back over to me.

“Here.” He hands me something in my palm.

I look down into my hand and I see a small plastic-wrapped square. I blink for a bit- completely oblivious to this thing in my hand. Is this what I think it is? My eyes widen as I finally realize what I’m holding.

This isn't candy.

Ryou just gave me a condom. He gave me a fucking condom.
